ي بداية الإتحاد لدولة الامارات العربية المتحدة في العام 1971، كان يتم إستيراد كافة منتجات الدواجن من الدجاج المجمد وبيض المائدة من الخارج. وفي العام 1978 تم إنشاء الشركة الأهلية لإنتاج الدجاج الطازج, وتبعتها شركة العين لمنتجات الدواجن في العام (1981 )، مزرعة رأس الخيمة للدواجن (1981)، مزرعة الفجيرة للدواجن (1985)، الروضة (1996)، الخزنة (2001) وأخيرا مزرعة تاسيل للدواجن (2003)، وفي بداية العام 1996 بدأ سوق الإمارات العربية المتحدة في جذب منتجي الدواجن مثل الوطنية. وقدرت قيمة المنتجات من الدجاج الطازج وبيض المائدة بما يوازي مبلغ 400 مليون في العام
